Tulipgirls.org

Ending Period Poverty with Sustainable Solutions

Tulip is a global campaign launched in March 2024 with a mission to provide safe, reusable, and sustainable period underwear to girls worldwide. By addressing period poverty, a crisis that forces millions of girls to miss school, the initiative restores dignity, equal opportunity, and education access.

With strong funding support and partnerships across multiple countries, Tulip is creating long-term impact by distributing menstrual products, building local manufacturing, and empowering women through health and education.

Education Lost

Globally, girls miss up to 3 months of school annually due to lack of access and affordability of menstrual products.

Canadian Impact

1 in 4 Canadian women experience period poverty, highlighting the urgent need for sustainable solutions even in developed nations.

Global Reach

According to the World Bank, 500 million girls and women are affected by period poverty across the globe.

“When girls have dignity and access to education, they don’t just change their own future - they transform the future of their families, communities, and the world.”
